Situated in a cute & unique part of the city center of The Hague, you will find the beautiful boutique Hotel The Collector. This part of the city is called: Haagsche Bluf: a cozy, recently renovated square with trendy cafes & popular restaurants in the center of The Hague. The hotel consists of two adjoining buildings with broken walls and a third floor on top. Via a glass walkway you enter a third building that is also part of the hotel and provides you an amazing view on the square.

The entrance of the hotel is amazing: a cute mini flower shop. Original, beautiful & smart. Because flowers always makes you feel good and with exact that feeling you’ll enter the hotel. What a great start….
What’s in the name: The Collector
The Collector, as the name suggests, is an ode to the collector. Because every traveler/ every person is a collector! Whether you take a specific souvenir or just collect memories, The Collector is a the perfect place to stay for curious travelers. Everywhere you look you see small collections: vintage model cars, a wall of cassette tapes, rubber ducks and vases full of marbles. The cool furniture is a mixed bag of vintage, local and Scandinavian design, resulting in a cozy interior with lots of dark green, brown and gold with 60s vibes. But above all: good vibes!
The collector concept
The Collector hotel is totally new concept. We are all collectors! Perhaps it’s no longer about stamps, but more about experiences and stories. Fun fact: the SLOK Hospitality Group is also the name behind the three successful boutique hotels in Amsterdam: Mr. Jordaan, Linden Hotel and Hotel Luxer.
The Rooms & Suites
The rooms of this intimate hotel feel like an art collectors space where arty birds, creatives and adventurers will undoubtedly feel at home. All 57 rooms are quite the same, but also all a bit different. The biggest difference is the size of the rooms or the size of the bathrooms. The rooms are all decorated in the same eclectic style but are far from standard. Behind the lovely double bed hangs a unique work of art with famous people from history. This is the eye catcher of the room.
Striking details are the old-fashioned telephone with a dial and the chrome clothes rack in the room. Very nice. The bathroom is completely contemporary with a spacious walk-in shower and a nice gold and marble look. And here you’ll also find nice details such as a small gold-colored jewelry holder. The great Zenology care products just complete it.
Food & Drinks
Breakfast is normally served downstairs at The Basecamp, the ground floor of the hotel. Normally there is a beautiful breakfast buffet, but due to the corona standards, you can enjoy your breakfast at your room. There is still plenty to choose from, with a variety of sandwiches, sweet and savory toppings and even smoked salmon with cream cheese. You can indicate at the service how you want to eat your eggs and ask for extras.
The Basecamp is also a great place to enjoy a drink, play a game and to chat with other travelers. Just sit on one of the comfortable brown leather sofas under the coffered wall and take in the collections!
For a lovely lunch or dinner you won’t have to go very far: the entrance of the hotel is next to the lovely Foodhallen, So you don’t have to walk far for a fantastic snack or drink. Also you’ll find lots of other great restaurants and bars within walking distance from the hotel.
What to do
You will be staying just a small walk from the Binnenhof, so be sure to take a look at the impressive parliament complex. Walk across the square towards the amazing Mauritshuis, where you can see works such as Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and The Goldfinch by Carel Fabritius, made famous by Donna Tartt’s book of the same name. If the weather is good, we advise you a bicycle and cycle to the beach of Scheveningen. Walk along the coastline and then relax with a cup of coffee or a drink in one of the beach clubs.
