We hand picked this gem in the middle of the 2006 Turin Olympics area. This traditional dwelling in the Italian Alps is beautifully restored into an absolutely amazing lodge. The establishment is designed to provide guests with a relaxing, refined place in which to unwind after a long day of skiing.
The atmosphere created makes you really feel at home very quickly. Upon arrival guests are covered in luxury. The Lodge consists of a spacious living room with a fireplace and entertainment center boosting tons of movies. If you use the extra service and hire a private chef or choose to prepare a meal yourself; the open kitchen next to it has an abundance of appliances. Dinner and breakfast are available upon request. Both can be served in the dining area, housing a table big enough to seat 12. Dinner menus include a variety of local dishes and also some warming dishes from Asia, such as a Burmese beef curry and is best done accompanied with a nice glass of wine. Bottles can be selected form not one, but two wine cellars. One of them uniquely located in the living room itself. Breakfast includes homemade LA style granola, fresh bread, butter, jams, local honey, gianduja spread, variety of fresh croissants, homemade zucchini muffins, hard boiled organic eggs, tea, coffee,infusions and oranges squeezed that morning.
The 2nd floor consists of three luxurious bedrooms matching ones only found in the best hotels. Each containing their own bathroom and tub. A gigantic deck and kids playroom stuffed with toys finish this floor up.
The top level consists of a beautiful inside lounge area. Upon opening the sliding doors to acces the balcony, you will find an outdoor fireplace and hottub. This floor also contains two additional bedrooms with seperate bathroom and an extra kids dorm to sleep 6 if nessesary.
The surrounding area known as the “Via Lattea” (Milky Way) hosts some of the best skiing experiences. It is connected to 400km of pisted slopes that cover Cesana, Claviere, Sansicario, Sauze d’Oulx and Sestriere. Here the slopes, which accommodate all levels of skiing, rise as high as 3280m include two Olympic downhill runs, 42 black runs, 118 red runs, 54 blue runs and 7 green runs. You can ski for days and never do the same run twice! For all your skiing experiences lifts are just a stone throw away. Summer activities include hiking, cycling, horseback riding and tennis. All can be done in or in the surrounding area of Val Troncea National Park. If you are a profound golfer, the area even includes two 18 hole golf courses and one 9 hole golf course just around the corner.
